ONE ON ONE BABKUBWA AND AMANI

She’s one of the top artist pande za Nairobee – Kenya, Cecilia Wairimu better known for her stage name Amani. Ni mmoja kati wasanii wachache walioshinda awards nyingi katika East African Music Industry kupitia hits zake kama vile “Ninanoki” with Nameless, “Bad Boy“, “Tamani“, “Missing My Baby“, and Tonight“. Few days ago Baabkubwa magazine caught up with Amani – aliyekuwa akishea shuka moja na our own brother Ambwene Yessaya ‘AY’, kujua nini kinachoendelea kwenye career yake na maisha yake binafsi.
1). Who are you and what makes you unique?
I am a Kenyan female musician(professionally). Privately, I am the girl next door with a bit of spiced, LoL! and what makes my music unique is that its an expression of my feelings,views and we are all different and express ourselves differently.
2). What inspires you when your writing your music?
Art works, I love art so I visit art galleries then i get inspirartion. My fans when I am at a concert or a public place, my interaction with them just inspires me to give them more in terms of entertaining them and songwriting.
3). Can you break down your day by default if you don’t have any thing special event to attend?
I Wake up say my prayers, go to gym, go trough my emails and get work done, then go for meetings or go to the studio.
5). What do you do out of music?
Music is my bread and butter, but I run a hair extension company on the side.
6). What’s your relationship status, engaged or?
I am getting to know someone, he is a wonderful man and its a beautiful expirience so far.
7). Being a celebrity especially in a lime light, sometimes is a problem. Can you share any problem you experience because of fame?
That there are people who assume they know you very well yet they don’t and spread untrue stories about you.
8). What’s your current project on music?
I have a single coming out soon by the end of June an album will follow shortly after God willing.
9). Have you planned to have any collaboration with Bongo artist, since “Usiwe mbali nami” ni long time sana?
Yes I will have a collaboration with a bongo artist for now its a secret but details will be revealed soon.
10). Your Tzee fans have missed you so much, what can you tell them.?
I thank them for their support and I will not dissapoint them,since those days sijafanya show Bongo. I love my Tz fans, they are for real.
